Looking for optical drive/s

I'm building a new rig and it's now time to chose the optical drive. I use my optical drive to burn music CD's, play games and just general use of a CD drive bay (Installing software etc..). Blu-Ray isn't even in my country yet so I won't be needing one of those :)

Can you please recommend me a CD drive that'll do the job?

Here are a few I've come across, any good?
-LG GH22NP20 Super Multi - Disk drive - DVD?RW (?R DL) / DVD-RAM - 22x/22x/12x - IDE - internal - 5.25" - black
-Samsung Internal Half Height DVD-W Supermulti SATA 22X Lightscribe
-LG Electronics GH22NP20 22X IDE SecurDisc DVD+/-RW Internal Drive with Software - Bulk
-Sony Optiarc AD-7240S-0B 24X Dual Layer DVD+/-RW SATA Drive (Black), Bulk

Any cheap DVD burner will do the trick. Buy a retail version also (not OEM) so it will come with burning software and check and make sure your motherboard supports SATA if its a SATA drive or else you need to buy an IDE/SATA converter. I had good use out of Sony optical drives, Philips gave me problems, right now I'm using an Asus and it it works great.

Yeah burners are not expensive either,I highly suggest staying away from any burners made by Sony though.....they are the worst ive ever had.

1 failed on me....wouldnt read or burn anymore so i sent back for replacement.

then a few months down the line my second replacement drive started showing sighns of failure.

get any of the following, they seem okay.

Lite-on
LG
Samsung

I'm looking to buy two so I probably wouldn't go for a very expensive one.

Good to know though there isn't really a right or wrong one, thanks for the help. I'll carry on searching and if there any questions I'll ask :)
