looking for realtek driver for Vista

Hello

I just built my 5th build today and its my first time with vista

So far, All is working except for my motherboards audio driver....

Now I suppose I can just get a sound card that I know has a Vista driver but I wanna see if I can figure this out first....

Here is a list of all available drivers for my motherboards audio

As you can see, there is no vista...

Does anyone know where I may be able to find such a driver?

Thank you

Looking at your mother board, I agree, its a soundmax alc660 and not realtek.

Found this on a website, give it a try.

If you want to get sound function, it is simple, you can go to Vista device manager, find that unknown audio controller, update its driver, than specify the driver path to the motherboard drivers'CD audio folder's SMAXWDM/2K-XP subfolder to finish audio driver installation.

In other words, update your audio drivers with what is on the cd that came with the motherboard. I'm guessing you either did not do this when you installed the other chipset drivers, (you did install the chipset drivers right?) or they did not load right.

Also, take a look at the following link it might be the driver you need.If that driver does not work, you can always remove it and try something else.
