Looking For Small Notebook

I have a desk PC and a 14.1" laptop. I'm looking for something small, not over 10" LCD. My budget is $650-$700 max. It's intended use is to have something easy to handle while in my easy chair (yes, I'm that old) for email and websurfing. I'm also thinking of using it as a large viewfinder with my DSLR but no photo editing. I'm looking at a couple different models of the ASUS eee which is cheap enough that I can add another 8GM memory (SDHC) and a decent mouse. I have no problem with good use or referb as well as new. Susgestions?

I've been drooling over the Eee for a while now... they're sleek, tiny, and CHEAP. I've seen a couple of them around campus and they look great. For $400, I don't think there is a better 7" laptop.

Well, ASUS probably has the best ones that actually look like laptops right now, but some other companies have 'portable computers'. I saw an HP one on TigerDirect not to long ago, it was in the style of like an oversized gameboy advance, and it looked pretty good.

dell (ugh...) has a 7" widescreen lappy...i dont know if they still make them, but my best mate's dad has one he just brings around the house with him for work.

Hmm... I've never seen one, and I can't seem to find it on Dell's site. You remember what the series was called?
