Ok guys, here we go again with something I don't generally do around here. I'm asking for help... lol

Looking for some good sounding headphones for when I play my FPS games on my PC. They don't have to have a microphone as I don't play online. Just want a pair that goes over the ears. Budget is between $50-$75.

I've had a few headset for around that price and a lot of popular ones arent very good. The best headsets ive ever had are Sennheiser's.

Sennheiser is good. But for under $100, you are not going to find a GOOD set. Acceptable, maybe, but far from good. And a soundcard would help a lot.

I use these and they work okay for gaming, with the Go! Pro for processing.

Sound quality on them is decent. Does a lot better with music than gaming, but not bad at either.

I have heard good things about these but they look (specs wise) like they are more set to music.

Sennheiser offers these in that price range, but it is not exactly optimal.

Dont' advise the Senn 419. They sound pretty much the same as Senn 202's and they cost about half. I've heard it so I can say that with some certainty. Check out the Sony V6's. Old ones but still very good, I enjoy my friends set.

XB 500's are good but sound is pretty unbalanced if that bothers you. Very bass heavy, which I loved, but worth noting. Also probably the most comofrotable headphones you can find. Also check out Audio Technica M35 or M30 or M40.

Eventually you'll want a decent sound card as well.

That is way out of my budget. I will try with my onboard audio first and see what happens. I do have a turle beach sound card available to me though.

I have looked at the steelseries on Newegg. Looks like I'm interested in this one.

A little over my budget but if they are worth it then thats what counts I guess.
