Looking for very quiet, comfortable keyboard for gaming and writing.

I'm using the Steelseries 6GV2 right now which is really great, but it's just too damn loud, my roommates keep complaining about the noise.

Mechanical is a plus, i'd just like something tactile, quiet and comfortable.

Appreciate any help given, it's difficult to find an exact answer to this anywhere.

Something with either Cherry MX reds or blacks sounds like a good option.

You could always put rubber O rings on your current keyboard

Razer Deathstalker! Looks nice, feels nice (neighbor has one), and it's mechanical..

AFAIK reds and blacks are not quiet.

Cherry MX Browns are however. Get a keyboard with those or try O-Rings.

Okay, didn't know that. But, Cherry MX Blacks are not tactile, but Browns are. So I'd say get Browns, OP.

I'm about to buy a keyboard too! It's got browns on it. Check out the Razer Blackwidow keyboards! The newer stealth ones felt really nice for typing and gaming FPS. I tried typing with reds and it was .. terrible.
