Looking Into New Graphics Card

Hi Everybody,

I have just begun looking into new graphics cards for my desktop computer. I want a graphics card would be able to run CS (Counter Strike) and BF2 (Battlefield 2).
But my computer is about 2 - 3 years old and I am currently running the on board SiS graphics that came with it so I was just wondering what I check to figure out which graphics cards will operate on my hardware and of course what is the best value for money out there for my needs!
Any help would be appreciated.
 
Firstly you need to look at what type of slots you have, at that age you will either only have PCI or AGP I would have thought.
