My video card is finally giving out after 3 year of abuse, it now runs quite hot and screen tears even in my well-cooled computer. So it's time to look into a new one, my first question before doing the research is simply this. I'm still using the motherboard I bought 3 years ago: This.
The expansion slots are:
PCI Express x16 1
PCI Express x4 1
PCI Express x1 2
PCI Slots 3
So does this mean it does not support the new 2.0 PCI Express x16? The new motherboards specifically say they support PCI Express x16 2.0, so I am not sure if that means mine does not or if 2.0 even matters as far as compatibility. I just need to know so that I don't pick a 2.0 x16 card and find out it doesn't work with my motherboard
