I am looking to buy a computer for my husband who enjoys playing computer games, but I'm not really sure what specs I should be looking for. We do NOT want to build one. Any recommendations on what computer we should get or, at least, any tips on what I should be looking for in a computer? I'd like to keep the cost under $1,500 if that's even possible.

www.ibuypower.com has some pretty good systems you can configure. maybe your husband could help sort out the specs, but if not, either ask here, or ask on ibuypower. hope that helps you out.

Check out monarchcomputer's custom builds. They have a low build cost. Also check out other small manufacturers like ibuypower and cyberpower. I've found monarch to be cheaper though.
Of course you can buy from big manufacturers like dell and alienware but they tend to be more expensive.
Finally, check out your local computer stores, sometimes they'll build the computer for you for a small fee (once you have the parts).
As for specs, look for something like AMD X2, at least a gig of RAM, and a decent video card (at least a 7600 for your budget). It'll be easier to give you exact specs once we know where you want to buy from.

Dell have some nice gaming pcs available, and there quiet cheap as well

Ya Dell is a washbucket unless you get their new XPS's. They're not bad.

but with dell, you have to pay alot for a good graphics card.
