Looking to buy a good comp need some advice

I want to be getting a new dual core processor computer with 2gb memory, 2x400gb hdd's, a directx 10 card, 2 dvdrw drives, vista home premium

currently i have a 2.4intel with 1gb ram and 128mb graphics card so it will be a big jump

But I need to know a few things before i make the plunge (which will be in the next couple of weeks probably)

1. Should I go for a AMD or Intel Dual processor?

2. I need a Direct X 10 card is an entry level 320mb one good? should i go for GeForce or Nvidia?

3. 600w powersupply sufficient?

4. anything else i need to know?
