Looking To Buy A Used Laptop - $550

I have $550 to put into buying a new laptop. I know I'm not going to get something very fast or powerful, that's why I have my desktop! But I'm looking to spend $550 on a used laptop. Why used? Because through craigslist and eBay, I can find laptops that are $800 new for around $550.

So basically, I need help finding the right $700-$800 laptop for me, that I can find on ebay for around $550 used.

I just need an all around "handy" laptop really, but the more power I can squeeze $550 into the better! Being able to run photoshop on it would be great.. but again, not a necessity, and I'm not expecting to be able to run it very well, if even, for $550.

Maybe I'm wrong, I'm not sure, I'm really not too familiar with laptops d:

Check eBay for a used Latitude E6430 with an i7, SSD, and high resolution display. If 14" is too small, go for an E6530 instead.

If you want more powerful graphics than the Intel HD4000, look for a Latitude with the nVidia NVS card in it.
 
I researched the laptop, and while the specs look fantastic for the price, I forgot to mention I also need the laptop somewhat thin. I will be bringing this new laptop to several classes, and while that Laptop looks great for the prices I found for it, I just don't know if I can deal with it's bulk.

Are you familiar with the Samsung series laptops, series 5, 7, 9? They all seem to be pretty thin models. Was curious if you know about those series and the specific models that are in the various series'?
