Looking to control two computers via a mouse

hey guys - new to the forums.....I have two separate computers that I'd like to run at one time, but want the ability to use a mouse or something that would be easy to maneuver rather then 2 different mouses - is this possible?
 
Yup, what you want is a KVM switch.
You can use just 1 keyboard and monitor also if you like.
They are dirt cheap on fleabay right now.
I paid about $6 shipped for mine.
 
thank you - so you press some buttons on your keyboard and the other screen pops up on your current screen? is there a way to sit both computers side by side and have mouse control over both screens at once? id like to keep both computers running at once and be able to use both displays at the same time and let them display on their current monitors just I have mouse control
 
On mine I hit Scroll Lock button twice and it switches.
I'm not aware of anything that will do what you want with the mouse.
You don't have to switch the monitors, just don't plug them into the switch.
The problem with having the mouse scroll over both at the same time is when you use the mouse buttons as it will also affect the other comp.

erm...

just checking but wont a KVM allow you to use one
mouse on 2 PCS but not at the same time.

correct me if i am wrong but i am sure that is not what you want is it?
 
Mouse without borders, after using it for a few days is a good piece of software to use as Voyager said. It is free unlike buying a KVM and is more accurate and simple.
