Looking to upgrade motherboard & CPU

Hi I am looking to upgrade my motherboard and CPU I have an emachines W3052 I am not sure I can post this but gonna if I was not allowed I am sorry about that

I was told by emachines that I need ATX motherboard I have AMD and would really like to stick with a AMD motherboard, also someone else told me I need a motherboard with 2 pata ports thats what my hard drive is. I found this but I have no clue if it works for my computer could anyone help me don't want to buy it and then it isn't for my computer.

I was told by emachines to just buy a new computer but my hard drive and power supply are new not even a year old, so just looking to see what I can update/upgrade on this. Any help thanks

Upgrading that won't help you all that much, plus is expensive, it'd be a better idea to build a new one from 0.


You might be able to use your current hdd and probably your dvd burner/reader but that's as far as it goes

yeah i agree, might be worth getting a new hard drive though, if he does end up going for a new build.

New CPU + Mobo + RAM.
Video Card is Optional, depends on your use. If you don't use PC for Gaming or Photo/Video Editing, Delicated video card is optional
