Looking to upgrade. Suggestions??

Looking for a not so high priced upgrade but i have an 8800gts and wanted to know what would be something thats actually a good step up?? Just put down any suggestions you have besides the highest end cards because im not paying 300-400 or more dollars for a card..

8800GTS is still one helluva monster... Radeon 4870 1GB or GTX260 Core216 are good performers for the price, and those two cards are the very least you should go for if you want to see any sound performance increases. You may even find a GTX280 that fits withing your budget.

for a little cheaper you could get a 9800GTX+, but I'm not sure how much better it will be than what you have.

which version of the 8800GTS do you have? didn't they have a 320MB and a 512MB version of the 8800GTS?


edit: now I see the 320 MB in your sig. I would say even the 9800GTX+ would be a nice upgrade
 
I agree with "mikesrex" the 9800GTX+ would be a very nice upgrade. If you can afford it get two and run them in SLI that would be nice.

What if i sli'ed the 320 mb one? the motherboard i have listed below i believe to be a decent board too..thoughts on my statement??
