I have always left my desk top on and connected to the internet. In many years of doing this there has been no major or consistent problems in doing this. Lately, for no apparent reason, after being used and left online as usual, at some point it disconnects from the internet. It used to be that restarting did the trick. But lately it has to be restarted several times or shut down for a couple hours before it will reconnect. I have checked the "work offline" but it is never checked. I have 2 laptops working wireless from the same router the desktop is plugged into without problems (and I leave one of them always connected). Ideas?
