Greetings!
Alright, I -rarely- post for some software help but this is driving me NUTS
!!! my audio is an internal Realtek AC'97 card, that one which the Biostar P4M800 Pro-M7 motherboard has... everything was going fine and dandy, updates going cool too, until I wanted to try NFSMW... said I needed some d3d_x29.dll library or something like that, so I went to the Windows Update site... said it needed to restart after installing some validating activeX control thing, and since then problems have started to show up (but NOT after the DirectX Web Setup program install, the problem began after the ActiveX download & required comp restart):
The audio icon is still in the system tray, but it says there's no audio device - yet it's shown in the hardware panel. The problem doesn't get solved until I remove the device and reinstall it again... also, somehow it loses the "theme" and some windows (or even the taskbar) are displayed with the classic windows theme... like if it loses the theme service too, it's weird!
Is anybody having this same problem too?? it's frustrating!

/edit:
Through services.msc I had to enable Windows Audio and Themes service... they're in automatic but don't seem to start... what the hell is going on?
