Lost a very important file

Hello guys

First, I'm really in need of a solution for my disaster.

I've been for 4 months working on my thesis of Master of Science degree which's been being done in LaTeX, but I formatted my PC as I thought that I had copied my thesis file on a flash memory, the disastrous disaster is that I hadn't!!!

I've tried hard with GetDataBack for NTFS to get the file back, happily I've found the file, but extremely unhappily I found that it's been corrupted, it's become a set of ununderstandable symbols!

So is there any program than might give me another chance to get my file back??

I'll be extremely grateful and thankful, that was an extremely highly important file!

Thank you so much

Ouch, dude, if it came out that way, there's nothing you can do. I didn't even know that you could recover stuff from a formatted partition in the first place. I'm sorry, you're sunk.

sometime ya can. depends on the format. quick maybe, low level or military format safest. the quick format usually picks up on problems you already had. that has been my experience. If im doing again, its full format minimum.
