hello room

For the last 3 days whenever I try to use internet explorer I have lost everything there is absolutely no toolbars ( back, forward, stop ) icons nor is there an address bar. I can not seem to get it back. Can someone suggest what I need to do?

do you have 'file, edit, view, fav. etc' up the top?

try reinstalling Internet Explorer off the XP CD...or is in on mobo CD's...i can't remember, try both

Its a work computer and I don't have file tools or anything I don't have any bars...

Its all on a network server and all that and even when I log in to another computer and try to go to IE I have NO TOOLBARS

At the top, right click where the bars would have been and check "Standard Buttons" entry.

When I right click the top it just brings up Minimize maxamize and all that and when I do it in the screen where the webpage is it says - Back Foward and all that there is no standard button thingy.

Like I said there is nothing below Microsoft Internet Explorer Program Bar just the webpage

you have to click in the gray area. Or if there is no gray area try pressing alt+F, and see if you get a menu...
Then get spybot s&d and adaware, and run them. I bet you got some nasy malware.

One computer worked when I did Alt F and the other computer didn't

What gives.

When I did a Spybot search it only came up with 3 problems

well.. fix the problems and also try adaware. and maybe virus scan. then reboot and see if they work. If they don't run all the scans again...

Still won't work

When I opened Internet Explorer there are no toolbars and there is no way... to access any toolbars or anything.... BUT when I open up windows explorer and use it that way to access the internet it works with the toolbards with the address bars and all that crap there but not on IE. I've tried F11 I've tried alt f4 or whatever and it still won't work... Anymore suggestions how to get IE back to working

Yuh use the link that magic posted. That will hopefully get u back up on ur feet. Sometimes re-installing software covers hundreds of problems (and i mean hundreds).
