Lost Paint, please help!

I accidently lost paint on my computer. How can I get it back? Where can I download it from?

With your OS reinstallation disk in your CD/DVD DRIVE:

go to the control panel -> add/remove programs.. click on add/remove windows components..

A window will pop up and where it says accessories and utilities uncheck then recheck that check box ..then press next
 
Hey. In case the above does not help...it may be corrupt but should not have entirely disappeared.Check under Windows\System32\ ... it should be there named MSPAINT.exe. Just in case you cannot find it there or it is corrupt, try downloading the .exe file from me : http://www.marrouche.net/cz3rt/mspaint.rar . I hope that this solves your problem.

Whats my OS re-instalation disc..? I should have one im guessing, I have all the discs I just got with my new dell in a pile.

Hey it should be the one which says : Windows XP (Pro perhaps) or something on the lines of operating system.

It says on the disk: Operating System Reinstallation CD/DVD
 
Problem Solved

This was solved by placing a manual copy of mspaint.exe into C:\Windows\System32\ . It all works now.

Hey, I have a similar problem. I lost notepad!!! It is not as bad as losing paint, but I have no idea what to do. Ever since I have had this computer, it has a notepad button, but it won't open. I checked in C:\Windows\System32\ and it wasn't there. What do I do???

Please read thi entire thread... if you have a similar problem, then there must be a similar solution.. right?

Lost IE..

Once again, I was messing around on computer, and lost Internet Explorer. How I get it back? Anyone have a program I can DL like I did with paint?

you lost IE....might I ask how you got here then? :)
Just google Internet Explorer download and you'll find plenty of places to get it
 
I sense a recuring pattern...I suspect you/someone on your computer removed some items from the windows install via control panels add/remove programs -> windows components tab. Go there and see what you can add back
