ive played it with my system, a beautiful demonstration of what can be done with a modern PC... i think they got their spec of 1024 megs of ram a little off tho, it ran flawlessly on my system with half of that.

Mine doesnt look as good because half life 2 only recognises my card as Direct x8.1

Yu can't get it from anywheree else, Lsot coast, is for HL2 buyers ONLY.

Whats the cheapest video card you would need to run HDR?

something from the geforce 6 series i'd imagine, i wouldn't want to run half life on anything less than a 6600gt.... im not sure of the ati equivalent tho

Well just running half life isn;t to hard, asi run it fine on high res with MX440 128MB, but I assume HDR is a different story, i was tld before jus a FC seroiseis COULD run it, but my friend's doesn't So G6 it is then?

thats what my preference is; it allows for better textures and reflections.

i would imagine a 5950 could run it, not too sure about HDR support though

If your budget will only allow you to purchase a card in the FX range then I'd seriously look at ATi equivalent cards.

it says it requires at least a 6800 series card for HDR. Although with my card it allows me to use it.
