Lost Data On SD Card, Recovery software?

Lost some photos and maybe video of off a SD card.
What would be the best software to retrieve it? Thanks.

I recommend Image Rescue 4. It's $30, but well worth it.

I tried the software in the first post in a hurry last night.

It recovered 6 old fotos, not any of the recent ones.

The new ones may have been deleted by the computer.

I know for a fact the old set was removed by the camera because they were my photos.

Would this an any way cause the new photos to not be retrievable?

Or maybe there wasn't any new photos at all? and I say that because I had a falling out with a girl a month ago, Her brother came over and asked to borrow the camera for a school project. I thought okay.. A week later she texts me to say her brother is bringing the camera back. When I checked it had no photos and full battery, and she has been texting me for two days now. I have a feeling she asked him the borrow it so she could initiate conversation. So I got suspicions and wanted to check for fotos.

Is my computer deleted theory above applicable. Or did they not use the camera?

Minimum wage is 16 bucks per hour i think. Yeah plenty of jobs.
