Lost IE

I scanned with McAfee - had a virus in IE - deleted the trojan virus and now cannot start IE. I am communicating over my laptop. How can I get IE back?

have you got a restore point? that might work. Or you could download IE7 from Microsoft.

I am on my laptop. The problem is on my tower machine.

Do you have the same email name on your laptop as your desktop.
if so download it on the laptop and email the download to yourself.

or if you have a network copy it to your desktop.

u don't need IE to use your email. just click on your email, should work like normal.

Edit do you have a flash drive , external HDD.

yes, the tower and the laptop I am on, are connected. The tower is operating in safe mode. I had virus problems and safe mode is the only way it will operate.
Somehow I also lost my printer connections. I think I am going to have to get professional help.

yup.

edit usually you should be able to shut down, then turn back on and windows should be in normal mode. not safe mode.
