While running one of the spyware programs, my desktop picture vanished. Is there any way for me to get it back? It is not listed under the desktop options, and I do not have another copy.
Did the wallpaper vanish during the removal of some spyware, or was the spyware scan clean? If it was clean then you could try System Restore. If not, are you sure you can't get another copy? What was it a picture of?
Thanks, and yeah I just lost it after running the Panda scan. It did find some spyware. It was just a school logo, but I've had it for about four years, and I can't seem to find another. I tried system restore without any luck...
OK, it is possible that the pic is still on your machine, you could do a search for all pictures and photos, you'd get loads of results but it would tell you if it's anywhere to be found. Apart from that I'm not sure what to suggest. I have never heard of this happening before.
Nuts. I didn't know this. Whenever I put up a new desktop, I use Netscape and it changes it to a .bmp in C:\Windows and renames it.
Sorry 'bout that
