Lost My Wordpad

I have a Dell Laptop - E6320
Somehow, I have , inadvertently, managed to lose the - Word-Pad icon. It appears to have completely vanished from my laptop,altogether ...
Have done all I can to search for the missing tool but it remains, -Gone !
Is there any way, it can be retrieved, Please..... it is,sorely, missed .... ( : <

We need some more information then what you provided.

What operating system are you running?
Have you looked here? "%ProgramFiles%\Windows NT\Accessories\wordpad.exe"
Have you tried typing wordpad in the search bar?

Hi John, Thank you for the support,
My opporating system is - 64 bit
Windows 7 Dell . 6320
most unfortunately, all that comes up with your link
when placed in - search progs and files - bar is - wordpad shortcut.
same thing happens when I type in the word - wordpad..
I really do not want the short cut- I want the proper wordpad that was, originally, on my comp ..
Is there anything else I can do to recover it, Please ?

What happens when you click on the shortcut for wordpad, does it open? If it does, then wordpad is still on your system. If not, then all you really need to do is access a different windows 7 system and copy the wordpad.exe file from that one and transfer it to yours. Just make sure you put it C:\ProgramFiles\Windows NT\Accessories
