loud touchpad?!?!?!

My dad's Acer Aspire laptop has a touchpad sounds like a robot whenever it is being used. You just touch your finger to it and it goes "wheeeeuuuuu....wheeaaaaaa". Is this normal or should we use the warrenty?

Um... A touch pad shouldn't make any noises? You should probably contact the warranty services about that

i work in an Acer repair centre and i've never heard of that problem before. Is the sound coming from the speakers? if so i would consider doing a system recovery using Alt + F10 at the acer splash screen when you boot (keep pressing it because its difficult to get it going sometimes)

No, its coming from the touchpad itself, not the speakers
Or at least from inside the laptop.
