Viewsonic Optiquest Q9b 19in LCD w/ 8ms, Speakers, Black

Thank YOU!!!

THANK YOU:D, i will get that:D

is benq a good brand though?

I've seen good results here with a 17" model. The problem was seeing the 19" model afterwards with the real fast 2ms response time over the 12ms here. So far the results have been good here with the brand. The previous lcd was a Proview model that wasn't such a good investment.

Ive heard that Viewsonic are great.

I looked at the 19" Viewsonic model a friend got along with building his new case and took a second look. He had brought over everything to have me put the case together and set it up for him. It looked good. I haven't really heard any real complaints on Viewsonic or BenQ while Acer gets the bad news.

Yeah, ok. I will get the BenQ. It has 3 year warranty. However, if i get the Viewsonic, it has only one year warranty becuase it is an old model.

What about the Samsung? I heard that it was really good.

trust me,that BenQ will make you happy.I have 2 BenQ monitors(the exact model actually) and i absolutely love them.

Newegg has em for 198.99 at the moment.'

EDiT:Nevermind,you're canadian.

and 260 for a monitor aint really low budget :P

BenQ is the bottom of the barrel when it comes to monitors. They are the K-mart variety screens. Anybody that recommends one over a Samsung or a Viewsonic has absolutely no clue what they are talking about.

Further, different companies use different techniques for measuring stats. Don't be surprised if the Viewsonic and Samsung meet or blow away the BenQ in reality. You would be foolish to not choose the Samsung or Viewsonic. Viewsonic is the pick of the crop, with Samsung not far behind.

/disagree

you guys gotta realize that judging between response times can be a very misleading way to compare different moniters. this is because different makers standardize the way they measure response times differently. The standardizations vary in ways they are measured by the time it takes for pixel rising or pixel falling (on and off), by turning on, off, and then back on again, and others measure by how long it takes for a pixel to go from peak white to black.

Thus, ANYTHING in the single digit range for "ms" should be fine, as there might not even be any objective difference between an 8ms and a 4ms LCD screen.

There is nothing wrong with BenQ,their quality of LCD's are pretty damn good and are currently the 3rd best LCD manufacturers from what i've read.

I decided to get a wide screen instead. I heard from my friend that they are really good. Lots of visible space and good for some games.

Please leave some comments.

Hanns-G 19in! get any one of the models, 5MS response time, 1440X900, 700:1, etc. Rox the house. I have one right here.

I wish i could get one. On Memoryexpress.com, they do not have Hanns-G. I am not buying from other sites like Tigerdirect.ca because the wait and shipping costs too much.

Can you find a good Widescreen LCD for me on www.memoryexpress.com
less than 260$ before tax.

Thanks

The two models i like are:
Acer AL1916WAsd 19in Widescreen LCD w/ DVI, 5ms, Silver-Black

BenQ FP92W 19in Widescreen LCD w/ DVI, 5ms, Silver-Black
