Low Frame Rate

Hey everyone, new to this forum. I was just wondering if anyone had a problem with a low frame rate when doing things like capturing video from a dv cam. I checked what my comp is capable of using scenalyzer, and i says only 28f/s!!! The other comp in our house get over 80! My comp is a very fast comp and I'll put down the details later, but right now I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem. I also checked out the disk speed using a program I got and I'm only getting 3 megs/s! thats is unbelievably horrible lol.. and this doesnt makes since once again becuase we just built it and it is very fast.. thanks bros and brahs!

Specs....

Also what excatly ae you doing and what programs. What's running in the backround? you also may have malware.

i have a maxtor 6y160mo

and

a gigabyte 8lk1100 motherboard

i think it might have something to do with the onboard sata controller

cpu-3.2 ghz
ram- a gig
graphics card- quadros 400xgl
psu- 400 watts
and cooling isnt a problem

thansk for the help, its quite confusing

is there a settings for max captured fps? Cause the program i use it has a capture fps and it never goes over 30. And it doesn't really matter if its 30 or 80, your eyes can't see the different.

i think the reason the frame rates are so low is that these frame rates follow video standards. PAL runs at about 25 frames per second while NTSC runs at 30 frames per second

cpu-3.2 ghz tyoe?
ram- a gig Speed?
graphics card- quadros 400xgl
psu- 400 watts amp's?
and cooling isnt a problem what temps exactly.

Thanks guys, i understand that 30 or 80 doesnt matter, but I'm only getting 26 and I need 30 for this wedding video. T. Also I will check out whether there is an option on whether you can change the max f/s . Are any of you familiar with scenalyzer though? It tells how fast your computer is capable of and Its saying only 26 fps. The thing is that I also checked my disk speed and its only gettin 3 meg/sec. I'm not sure what the problem is because I took this card our of the other computer and it was really fast there.. so I guess its not the card. I'm trying to narrow it down but its not making sense

Hey I thought this might help also.. i did a freeware scan of my comp
