Low Priced Laptop

I'm looking to buy a laptop for my mother for Christmas. It will be used only for internet and email purposes, so I'm very reluctant to buy from the likes of PC World/Comet etc as they come with so much un-needed software.

Can anyone recommend where I can find such a laptop? Within the region of £250.

Have you looked into these "new" Netbooks? they are smaller than laptops and cheaper.

You'll struggle to find a proper laptop for £250 you could look in the PC world/currys refurbished section on their website.

I don't know how laptops are priced in Europe, but in the US you can sometimes pick up full size budget laptops during the holiday season for that price. You'll have to look around for deals if you want a full size notebook.

after xmas it might be an option for buying a laptop - in the january sales, but they dont really tend to be cheaper before xmas.
