Can A mac still send virus to none mac user and possible infect those? Yes
Can you get free ANTIVIRUS for mac? Yes
SO WHY NOT GET IT.

The probability of it being beneficial is statistically indistinguishable from zero.

The cost of getting it is that it uses hard drive space, RAM, CPU cycles, and user attention.

The costs outweigh the benefits, therefore it is a bad idea.


Mac users cannot send Mac viruses to non-Mac computers and infect them. Mac users can send and recieve Windows viruses, but Mac antivirus won't find Windows viruses anyways, to the best of my knowledge. I could be wrong on this point, but it doesn't refute the overall point that the costs outweigh the benefits.

It doesn't matter if it's "free" if it's also useless.
