Mac or other?

well you mentioned online games. Mac has steam now and while the games will be limited, so will the performance on a laptop. Any laptop.

For general use. a Mac will be just fine. That would be my choice for your friend.

I think he was referring to web based games. Which all run fine on a Mac. If you want hard core games, then yes a PC will be better. However, how many Call of Duty clones can you really play?

I have had a few laptops in my time since desktops are not practical for me, every company has a laptop that is unique or a model with some hardware that impresses. The main reason to consider a Mac would be for the OS, and this is what you must ask yourself, what is your OS preference. The Mac may have a solid body but guess what, no matter how they build them when you drop them they break. So make your decision based on what OS you want and is it compatible with what you do.
