Mac vrs PC

This could be a never ending debate. Mac's do not get nearly as many viruses and are generally much more reliable. They are also more expensive, and very hard to upgrade. And if you do its a lot of $$ to upgrade. Macs also dont have even close to as much compatible software as PC's do. Gaming is also much better on a PC, better gaming hardware and more games.
 
I heard that macs have awesome graphics power. That is what they used in my graphics design class. I was also informed that companies like PIXAR and Disney use them for their complex computer animations. :P

Not really. Macs usually come with a graphics cards but most manufactures don't put one in PCs. They are about the same speed performance wise, but PCs are a lot cheaper.
 
PC Pros:
-More software
-Less expensive
-Easily upgradable
-More gaming power
-Majority use them

PC Cons:
-Blue screen of death
-Bill Gates sucks
-Not as stylish as macs
-Lots of viruses
-Easily screwed up
-----------------------------------------------------
Mac Pros:
-Very reliable
-Good video editting power
-less viruses
-Nifty OS at times

Mac Cons:
-Steve Jobs is a fag
-Ipods suck(this may not have to do with Macs...but more company wise)
-No gaming power
-Very expensive
-Hard to upgrade
-Costly to upgrade
-The OS can suck sometimes
-Less mac users than PCs


Therefore by my biased review,Macs suck and i hate them with a passion.I hope that one day while Steve Jobs is showing a mac at a convention it blows up and destroys his very body and soul...and hopefully make Microsoft a better company somehow.
 
I say to each his own.

I have both. So, I guess I can RANT or Praise whatever.

But, if i have to give you +'s and -'s about each here you are:

Mac's ARE Expensive to purchase. But, are much cheaper to upgrade the OS. You can upgrade from Leopard to Snow Leopard for $29.00

PC's are much better when it comes to games.

Mac's are much better when it comes to Multi Media Apps. If youi dealilng with digital photo's in Photoshop or working on video's

As far as Reliability? Mac's are far superior to a PC.

It just all depends on what you are wanting to personally do with a computer.

Saying a Mac is Gay? Totally untrue if your a video editor or a photographer or a person that is into editing music. But, if your a person that is a gamer? Dont bother with a Mac they are not gamer friendly.

I like both. But then, I use them for different things. I feel like I have the best of both worlds.

But, if your on a budget then Mac is probably not for you.

But, the bottom line is: It depends on what your gonna use a computer for.

I hate it when people say this. Neither platform has any real significant advantage over the other in ANY multimedia application..ESPECIALLY not in photoshop. All Adobe software runs on both platforms. There are some mac/pc specific programs, but both platforms have a top-of-the-line editing software for just about every application.
 
Its up to what you want to do!



Mac is manly media!
Video editing and making cartoons/movies your going for a mac because they have the software.


Windows
Games,Internet,programs,crashing ect.

Linux

For people with no money or like the FREE WARE and amassing seeding of the OS!

Im a XP,Vista & 7 user.
Im not keen on Mac myself, but i use it at school for music.

MACS ARE NOT BETTER AT MEDIA!!!1!1!!

See the above post. Its capabilities are roughly identical to Windows' as far as what software is out. Linux is a wildcard...it has amazing software available for some things, especially audio production, but some things there just isn't any software for.

1- Anything that can run a fully-featured web browser will have rougly the same internet experience

2- "programs"...? All 3 platforms have relatively similar software out for more mundane tasks

3- All operating systems crash.

Are you serious? You have no idea what you're talking about do you?

1- Not all linux distros are free. Most industrial applications either cost money themselves, or cost money to be supported.

2- There's MANY, MANY more reasons to use linux than "because it's free". A large portion of servers are linux-based, as well many of the more specialized units/clusters, such as those dedicated to specific tasks.

3- Amassing seeding...? What?

Well, I wonder why it is that if you go backstage at all the big concerts, and I have worked them here in Las Vegas for the last 22 years, you will find many more Mac's being used than you will PC's. Shouldnt that tell you something about Media?
