MAC vs PC

You can run any OS you want to on a Mac, be it:

Unix
Linux
OS X
Windows 9x/2k/XP/Vista/Server

The older OSes you will have to run as a virtual machine though, boot camp only supports XP SP2 or higher. I love it when I used to meet clients and I would show them my Windows Server 2003 virtual machine on my Mac laptop. They were like, "How err, umm, that is cool!"
 
Go PC, because you can do the same exact things on a PC as a Mac, but for a lot cheaper.
You need image editing?
Download GIMP.
Seriously, Mac fanboys need to chill out, their OS isn't any better than Windows.
Aaaaaaand, Macs aren't necessarily faster than PCs, it's not much the OS's decision of how fast a computer is, it's the hardware.
Macs are very overpriced, and there's really no reason to buy one when you can do the exact same thing on a cheaper computer.
I don't hate Macs, but I'm begining to, because of all the crap surrounding them.
Like people that don't know what they're talking about "OH EM GEE MY MAC WTH 1.8GHZ IS BETTAR TAN URE PEECEE WTH Q6600," and the stupid commercials.

thats where you're wrong, they are overpriced yes but same thing on a cheaper computer ? nah, but keeping to the topic you do know while we talk Photo,imaging and videos, those are the areas Macs can be superior

I didn't say there were mac fanboys on here, I was just ranting x.x

And, with imaging and videos, the exact same thing can be accomplished on a PC. So if that's so, they're not superior, but equal.

Windows isn't better than OS X in that regard as well.

No it is a combination of many technologies not just hardware. Ever ran the Vista beta? That ran like crap, and I mean like crap. It totally has to do with how the OS manages resources.

Macs are very overpriced, and there's really no reason to buy one when you can do the exact same thing on a cheaper computer.

I'm not a fanboy, but Mac isn't better than Windows.

Mac OS is a fine OS, but is in no way superior to Windows.

I am just going to do a comparison thread, and explain the advantages of a Mac, the pricing, and why it could or should be used over another platform, then i will also input the criticism it deserves for its flaws, then every posh, blanketed, 100% false statements can be debunked

Hey people if I'm going to cause such a mess asking for a little help then sorry I just wanted opinions on both sides not a war on which is better. Well I really appreciate your help. If I decide to buy a PC which brand you recommend??
 
I think it was a pretty good idea what somebody said about Boot Camp in OSX Leopard. I think it is really cool. Probably if I go for a MAC I will probably use that OS.
