Mac with microsoft office freeware

I never owned a Mac. Some family does. Im using OpenOffice and checked the site but is not compatible with Mac. Would anybody know of one or does it exist?

don't macs come with iwork though, or do you have to buy that seperate like MS and MS office?

They don't come with iWork as far as I'm aware, but neo office is open office for os x.
