Macbook Air vs Asus Zenbook

Hello everyone,

I'm a college student, and I'm looking for a lightweight laptop that will be able to watch movies, listen to music, word processing, etc. I'm between the macbook air with the i7 processor and the asus zenbook ux331un-ws51t which has an i5 processor. I was looking for suggestions on which to buy or if you had any other suggestions for around $1000. Thank you for any help!

Kind of a matter of if you prefer Windows or Mac OS.

I'd swing the Asus, the Zenbooks are nice.

Considering Asus makes my favorite laptops, I'd go for the Zenbook.

like Darren said, what really distinguishes Macs from the rest is the OS and software. If you're within the Apple ecosystem—own an iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, etc.—that may be another reason to go with the Mac.
