Macbook pro will randomly now not connect to the internet

hi all...

Im having some problems with my macbook pro... its the unibody one.
basically a couple of weeks ago my internet connection stopped working, although when i run network diagnostics all is fine, i have reset the system preferences folder to reset the network settings and i am still having no luck. Does any one else have any ideas?

Is it a new one from this year? The reason I ask is my wife's complaining about the same thing.

Is this from a home network or have you tried other networks?

yer it is one from this year or just before i think i have no idea... its for a client of mine i usually fix the apple computers here (comet) and im stumped on this one, short of whipping it clean thats all i can think of

btw its on all networks we've tried a few now

Network cards themselves can fail, so you might try swapping it out before doing a full wipe.

Do you have an apple store around? It should still be in warranty.

the persons whos it is doesnt have extended warranty does it cost just to get them to look at it????

tbh i doubt its the network card because i still get a connection, i really dont know though

have you been able to eliminate the the network settings being at fault?
Is the connection lost permanently

yep the connection is showing as connected but no connection, iv gone through all the different connection, iv even tried tethering my htc (using it as a wirless router) and still no luck
