Anyone played mafia 1 or 2?

im buying both because i used to play part 1 a longgg time ago and it was just freakin awesome, i think its the best GTA (grand theft auto) style game ever..

Also im going to be running those games off of saphire 6950 1gb GPU

How is mafia 2???? playability? comparison to part 1?
 
Never played the first one but the second is a work of genious.

I dont care what any one says, there is quite a bit of critique about it but imho it is one of the best free roam sandbox games going. Very brutal, very bice visually, excellent playability and wonderful characters.

Weapon play is also excellent, as is car handling, its nto as twitchy and iffy as gta iv but it is still quite realistic.

Your 6950 should do very well, i had my 3870x2 on mostly high at 1366x768 with a playable frame rate.

Im not sure wether its worth noting but ill say it anyway, apparently the dlc sucks, iv had no experiance with it but something to think about.
 
I have Mafia 2 on Steam and have played Mafia 1. My current setup handles Mafia 2 very well, though I have to disable cloth physics on everything but the main character. It's a fairly simple process of moving some files pertaining to the cloth physics of every other character and enabling additional PhysX effects in the game.
 
mafia 2 is sweet but im stuck on a level so i stopped playing, its the part where you find out that that one fat guy killed ur dad and you have to kill him, its so hard i have spent hrs trying to beat it.
 
Never played Mafia 1,Mafia 2 on the otherhand i enjoyed very much..great story,great gameplay and graphics.
The DLC side missions for Mafia 2 were crap though dont waste your money on it.

I hope they make a Mafia 3 and continue the story of vito scaletta.
 
Awesome guys thankyou. ill be buying both tommorow as soon as i finish building my computer!
IVe been up allll night in excitement waitiing for ups to deliver my final package!!! THE TOWER lol i have every part of my pc and no tower!!! omg this sucks lol.

But yeh. going to walmart to get the box set after im done building... might go now for something to do though lol.
