Mail Client/Service - What you using?

Just wondering what you guys are using as an email client/service right now? i know theres already posts on this topic but i bet theyre quite outdated now....and people have changed what they are using.

Im currently using Google mail,But everyday i get loads of spam in my inbox,im not sure why because im carefull what i sign up for and give out my email too and its been like this for a long time now so im looking for a good alternative,preferably web based.

so what you guys using?
 
My primary account is Gmail, I have multiple others, like Yahoo and AOL, but I really like Gmail and I don't get spam..

Yeah ive been having spam problems for quite a while now,My mother has a gmail account and never gets any spam at all!

Although looking on google forums,loads of people are having the same spam problems :cool:

Btw...major fail on my part,I just noticed ive posted this in the gaming section and not Internet Discussion :eek: :D

You could try like getting your email off the spamming list, If you look at the bottom of the spam mail there should be a link saying remove this email address from our mailing list or something like that just try do that. THats what i did i now get no spam what so ever ha :)

I use Hotmail and Thunderbird btw! :)

thats a bad idea because you have to open the email, internet safety 101, never open spam. leads to viruses, spyware and all kinds of other mallicius softwares.

i use yahoo, the spam filter ther does a good job.

You dont get Virus's just by opening an E-Mail you have to open an attachment thats if there is one. Otherwise people could just do what they want willy nilly.

If you can get a virus just by opening a website, I'm pretty sure you can get a virus by opening a email

it depends on the email.

If it is just text based, you are safe to open, so long as you don't click any links or attatchments

If it has images in the bulk of the email though, then they can come in on top of that, that is why just about all email clients now ask you if you want to view images on every single email before it opens and loads them

I use googlemail and get crap loads of spam, but i realised why: That whole phishing thing that happened about a month back, somehow, how, I will never know becauseI am so careful with everything, they got my account stuff. Needless to say I have upteen different passwords now, but still, pisses me off google, msn etc let it happen

I bet you guys are getting spam because a company sold your email address to the spammers : P
