ok i have never done one before, but looking at some of the deals on newegg, it seems stupid not to do it, what exactly is the process and how long does it usually take? is it coupons or actual money?

I've seen on a review that Newegg will give you the rebate if you don't get it for whatever reason from the manufacturer. I'm pretty sure that you're safe with Newegg
