Ok here is the deal. I have a compay presario 6320. It has worker fine forever. Then i got some nasty viruses and tried to do a system restore. When I was going through the process the computer would eject only the cd-rw, not the dvd to insert the disk into. Problem, becasue the cd-rw drive went bad and it wont read any disk anymore. So I bought a new benq 1640 drive and switched it out with the cd-rw drive. Then I went to start the computer with the system restore disk in the new drive, and all that shows up on the screen is a flashing little line in the upper left hand corner of the screen. I know a little bit about computers but nothing compared to you guys. Any thoughts/solutions?

what verison of windows are you running.
what i think it could be is that Windows is trying to reconginze the drive. Did Windows or did you install the driver for the cd-rw?
If the windows install the driver, then you should install the driver that came with the cd-rw. Its either a floppy or cd.
