Basicially a year ago, me and my friend were just gunna test if his memory card will fit in my built in memory card slot stupidly we had a feeling it wasnt compatible it was like a psp memory card and mine only does like sd and xd ones, we shoved it in and got it jamed in i tried to pick it out then i screwed all the little copper wires inside it up, my laptop works fine except for the fact it jumps everywhere and is so hard when you want to use a drop down menu when you lclick it and it keeps going of it and you have to click your option really quickly!! My dad thinks ive nackerd my laptop, but i havnt told him about this problem because im far too scared. You dont know how crazy he will go and I hate it when hes annoyed at me. I am prepared to pay for this, so without saying just tell him. How much would it cost for me to get it fixed I would save up even if it takes up to a year to be able to take it somewhere and they will fix it. I only live by a maplins and the usual pc world comet etc, also i got it from costco and i think my guarantee is well out of date, if theres no other option i could try and buy a new one there. Please tell me if you know if this can be fixed if so how much about do you think?? Btw, I cannot afford to buy a new laptop all together.

Those sound like totally unrelated problems (if I got you correctly), so you're saying that you messed up the memory card slot and then the touchpad/mouse started acting funny...? It could be a virus, driver problem, other hardware problem (most likely mobo), pretty much anything. Can you give us more details, specs, virus scan reults, anything we could use?
Basicially, its not a virus the page just keeps refreshing, not literlly like im clicking the refresh button. Its a toshiba satellite. I assumed it was the memory card slot problem because for a split second you know when you put your memory card in it comes up with the option to open file that comes up for a split second sometimes. It cant be a virus because we've completely wiped the computer out and installed vista again etc. All i really need to know is how can I get the memory card slot fixed and how much will it cost!
