Major startup problems with first build. >.<

Mobo= ASUS M4A89GTD PRO/ USB 3.0
Processor= AMD Phenom II quad core 3.4 GHz
Graphics card= ATI Radeon HD4650
Hard Drive= 1.5 TB Seagate
Power supply= 900W Rocketfish power supply.


Ok. This is my first PC build and I'm having a lot of boot up problems. Sometimes It boots fine, and the next day Windows has a problem Loading and enters startup repair. From starup repair i normally select system restore since that's the only option it really gives me, but now it wont even boot from system restore.

At first I thought it was the ATI graphics card because for a while I was getting a lot of graphics drivers errors followed by the blue crash screen. But then Instead of installing the drivers from the disk it came with, i just plugged it in and let Windows find the drivers for it and it was working fine. Now Im having all of these starup issuess. The one or two times that it DID work, It won't let me open internet explorer or WOW. Only things liek control panel, and it was not in safe mode. I don't know whats going on with this thing but it's becoming very frustrating. I don't even know where to start looking for the problem or solutions. >.<

When building from scratch, the biggest headache can be getting the correct drivers installed and functioning properly. It'll get a lot easier after you've done it two or three times.

First thing I'd do, (if you haven't already), is run the ASUS chipset installation utility and install the chipset drivers that came with the MB. Also install the ASUS audio and Ethernet drivers that came with the MB. You can check the ASUS support site, (http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us), and see if newer versions of the drivers are available if you like. Might also want to check for newer BIOS versions while you're at it.

Then go to ATI's support site, (http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx) and download and install the latest Full Catalyst Software Suite for your card. If you're still having problems after that then I'd re-install windows and then load the above drivers.

Do as jevery has said then right click computer then go into device manager and see if there are any exclamation marks where drivers are not installed or not installed properly. Once you have done this look at your motherboard's site and or any other of your system hardware manufacturers site to update the drivers as they could be old then report back and let us know how the machine is running.
