Major Vista problem need help ASAP!!!

if it still doesn't work after using those drivers....

does it appear in the device manager at all?
right click my computer, select Device Manager.
if its not listed under Display Adapters, look for an item with a yellow triangle and exclimation point, it should be visible without having to actually open any catagories. it might be named 'Unknown Display Adaptor')

if device manager says nothing is unknown and everything is working fine and you don't see the 8600 under Display Adaptors, i'd start to wonder if maybe the card is just defective.
