Major Windows 8.1 problems plus more

No sound, No You Tube Video and FSX won't start. What caused this ? I have a few ideas. I used Revo un-install, maybe I un-installed too much. I recently downloaded Windows 8.1, maybe that's a problem. I was messing with the turn off/on of Windows programs in the Control Panel. I went back and turned them all on. I hope I won't need a system recovery.
This all came about around the time I downloaded Windows 8.1
HP technician tried to get my sound back last night, He gave up. My computer is under warrenty so I have that option. If I do a system recovery all will loose a lot of addons from my Microsoft Flight Simulator, but I'm willing to try anything at this point. Any suggestions?

Probably Windows 8.1, has a lot of issues with hardware drivers from what I am seeing on the web. I actually gave Windows 8.1 a go and had way to many issues with my wireless card not working I just removed it all together.

First check and make sure you have all the updated hardware drivers from your OEM, a lot of OEM's released updated drivers for Windows 8.1. If this does not work then yes you can system recovery and yes you will lose everything but that is why you should be doing a system backup or something cause even if you send it back to the OEM for your warranty they may do the same thing, and you would be upset to lose all that especially if you lost the data and it does not fix the problem.

It did not fix the problem for me and when calling Sony tech support they told me they provided updated drivers that they could, but I am using a computer that was designed in 2010 and since going on four years old design it is time to replace since Windows more then likely now will not be even trying to be compatible with hardware over three years. Overall this lead my decision to go back to Linux and have had working hardware since.

Uninstall and reinstall your sound drivers and FSX. Reinstall them both and see if the problem is solved.

Is it only YouTube which isn't working, or is it all Flash content? If it's all Flash content, then also uninstall and reinstall Adobe Flash Player too.
