Making a DVD with picutes

Hi, my family just got back from a holiday in sri lanka. They have lots of pictures and want me to burn them to a DVD.

I have took the pictues from the SD card and have them on my computer.

Whats the best software to merge them and make a nice DVD out of them.

Windows movie maker maybe?

Any other suggestions are welcomed.

I've used Movie Maker before to make DVD out of pitcures and music. It went well for the most part. I hate that the only output codec is wmv, but that can be converted to DVD with most programs. Depending on the amount of RAM you have it may not work for longer DVDs over 1 hour. There are also a number of problems that will do the same thing, don't know if there are any good free ones though.

I get decent results by using WMM and then converting to DVD for TV showing using a free program DVD Flick

You can add music, transitions, and have it zoom in slowly on pictures. Very easy program.

Ive went with windows movie maker.

My nan and grandad were very impressed with the results.

Despite all the critisim windows MM gets, i think its really quite good to do simple stuff.
