Making a new Build

I'm sure you folks get this here a lot, but I need some urgent suggestions/opinions.

I'm clearly tired of my old piece of junk that I own now, and considered building a new one.

I'm using the Dvd Drive, Cd-burner drive, fan, Keyboard, mouse, and speakers from my old set-up.

I'm looking to keep this under $1200.00 though if needed, I'm willing to spend some extra money.
So far the price comes to $1118.51(Shipping Included)

Graphics Card

RAM

Motherboard

Processor

Hard Drive

Monitor

Power Supply

Case

I'm using the computer for gaming for the most part, but occasionally, I do some Audio/Video editing.

Thanks in advance.;)

Wow thanks for quick reply.

My current OS is XP Sp2, but definitely considering Vista.

Any other suggestions?

Umm... maybe just the "680i" because its suppose to be better.

Look here

About vista, you will hear mixed feelings about it... i personally love it to death! and if you do get it i recommend OEM Home Premium 64bit

Other than that it looks ok, may want more opinions. Since your not using the psu with the case i would recommend a more "high quality" case and maybe a bit bigger, such as the Cooler Master Centurion 5. Its great for the price.

In addition, I would recommend this RAM: Crucial DDR2 800. It's faster, and only $49.99 after mail in rebate.

Lol, already recommending it to other people? I got my eyes on the Crucial as well, but I'd suggest not going by the MIR, because I haven't gotten any MIRs from my build in August...

lol. I haven't received all mine either. Here's another recommendation: A-Data. As far as branding, it's on the lower end. It has good reviews, though. The only problem is the high latecy (5-5-5-18). I dunno, it's up to him if he wants to wait for the rebate, I guess.

Thanks you guys for the replies.

I now have another request, can you double check if all these parts work together?

I've checked many times, but I just don't want to go spending 1000+ on something that won't work together.

Thanks:D

Yeah it will all work, did you take in consideration what we suggested?

Also get the new 8800GT for the same price as the GTS, the new GT outperforms the GTS's and is right under the GTX

Thanks

and

Yes I've taken a look at those. Once I get off my laptop and on my desktop I will revise this post with the parts you suggested.

I really appreciate all the help you folks have been giving me.

I need to sleep.
