Making a partition in win7

so in win7 ultimate 64 bit is it possible to still make a partition to a drive even though u have windows on it? i installed windows and all my drivers/programs on this harddrive that happens to be 1tb. obviously i want it partitioned now, is it possible to do it without formatting?

just go to start search in bottom left, then computer right click it then select manage, then go to disk management and you can partion from there.

Use a hard drive partition manager to resize your primary partition, then use the unallocated space to create logical partitions for storing your data. You can also use the default disk management tool that comes with Windows 7 for resizing partitions.
