Malware protection help!

I am wondering what is the best malware protection software out there that detects it all. I have been using ESETNOD32 Antivirus. Should I get the ESET Smart Security 4, BitDefender or AVG for malware?

what about for antivirus protection with malwarebytes? and this program wont slow down my laptop?

its an Asus 64 bit, 3gb, 2.00 GHz

There is not one software that will detect everything that goes around, thats why we must use a variety of programs to kill malware. If you really want to be more secure you would want an active scanner for malware so you would need a paid version of either Malwarebytes, Superantispyware or something similar. You would also need to have an active virus scanner. In your case, I would recommend the paid version of AVG.

And AVG is the best out there of paid versions? Why is AVG the best compared to others? These all work out with windows 7 when i install it?
