Malwarebytes' enough on its own?

Well I just upgraded to an SSD and as such have the opportunity to select new security software. I'm running Malwarebytes' with the realtime protection and I had Avira running but I thought it was redundant so I uninstalled Avira. Would I be okay with only using Malwarebytes' or should I use an AV as well?

MalwareBytes is really just a malware scanner, so you should at least install MSE or Avast.

I'm just running the trial for now but it has everything of the paid so I'm good, sweet.

No it don't. If you are using the trial, its ends in 14 days and it will no longer actively protect you. It will then become only an on demand scanner like it normally is. You will need to install an antivirus program MSE or Avast.
