Manufacturing Location Question

I am trying not to buy anything built in China. Are there any computers currently made that are not built in China? Just ordered a Mac, and found out that it is almost entirely built there. :( Any ideas?

I have another business in which many of the new products are built in China, and I have nothing against the people, but I find the general quality of manufacturing at a low to medium quality.

Also, the currency games that are played by the Chinese govmt. are rather disturbing. Hindering manufacturing development in other countries. Not to get in to that, however, I have nothing against a global economy, but I would prefer to do business with countries operating in a true free market.

Both the cheapest and the most expensive/quality stuff are often built in China. There's no sucks thing as "China=bad, Taiwan=good".

Good luck on finding some electronic part that is not built in China, or that isn't assembled with at least 80% Chinese components.
 
Hi Major,

I'm not saying there is in regards to computers. I frankly don't know. However, I do know in my business (which is some specific musical instruments) that China has not yet produced really high quality. I'm just wondering if there are any other companies who build other places that I may choose from.
