so ok i know am heading on weekends now but i need this answered.
I have my file server with different usernames/accounts/password. with proper access rights.
Now i'm trying to map 2 folders on my PC. one called TEST and the other called TEST1M, ok.
I can map TEST normally with my username, now when i map TEST1M with another username/password the dialog box keeps telling me it's wrong.
why can't i map 2 drives with different usernames and password ?

lets say TEST uses - pat as username and enter as password
while TEST1M uese - pat2 with enter2 as password

if i map one correctly i wont be able to map the other.
where is my problem located ?

I don't think that XP pro will allow you to give access to two different shares on the drive to the same computer using two different user names.

This is on a domain correct? You need to make sure the username for the second map drive has privileges to actually access that drive as well.

no, not on a domain.
Yup both names have full access to the folder they are tied to.
But it's pretty lame that XP can't map 2 drives with different credentials.
so i have to give both folders the same username/password...geez :(
