i have an old machine i want to upgrade as much as possible. it's a HP Pavilion PC Model 4550Z. it has a 466mhz celly cpu with a 66mhz fsb.
i've found a few cpu's on ebay for way cheap, i just wanna make sure they're compatible. i've found a 566mhz, a 600mhz, a 633mhz, and a 700mhz all with the 66mhz fsb.
the voltages are different though, and i'm not sure if they will work. i didn't see any way to change voltages in the bios. will it autodetect? anyone know what the max i can put in there?
i'm also putting a radeon 9550, a sound blaster live card, and a dvd burner. this will be for my daughter, and i want to make it the best i can.
